Welcome to jackkellen.com!

My name is John Kellen but I go by my nickname Jack. I am a third year Computer Science Major at the University of Florida interested in software engineering, graphics rendering, VR/AR and game engine development. This is my portfolio website where I can show some of my past work for anyone who is interested. I hope you enjoy!

My Portfolio

Vascular VR Rendering Study

In this project I created the VR environment, UI, data logging system and implemented the Lego Stippling rendering style for the Vascular VR Rendering Study.

Vascular VR Main Project

In this project I updated the data selection tool to allow multiple bound selections on different slices of the MRI stack to inform the data generated into a Voxel Cloud.

Unity Mesh Deformation

In this project I created a script that when applied to an object in unity allows for it's model to be deformed by user inputs and return to its original state.

3D Boids

In this project, I created a simulation in Unity using C# to model swarming and flocking behaviors in 3D space. This is a continuation from the 2D Boids project.

2D Boids

This was my first attempt at modeling swarming behavior in Unity using C# with hundreds of individual objects moving around at once.

Shimmer Peak Game WIP

Shimmer Peak is a video game that I am currently working on making in Unity. It is a 2D puzzle platformer based around trading and an economy.

Gator Guide

Gator Guide is a Four-Year-Plan building website for engineering students at the University of Florida to use when planning their major and minor courses.

Pokemon Showcase

This website was built to give usage stats for different pokemon in competitive matches on the Pokemon Showdown website across different competitive formats.

Virtual Turlington (VT)

VT or Virtual Turlington was built as an entry for one of UF's hackathons. It is a website where clubs can advertise their events to students in a central spot.
